The wellness focus at the Westin Maldives in December will be centred around healing your body through alternative medicine practices including Chi Nei Tsang and Reflexology with Azusa Segawa. Born and raised in Japan, Azusa’s eternal quest for knowledge has taken her to Chiang Mai to train under Tao Master Mantak Chia, northern India to meditate under the guidance of the Dalai Lama, and royal retreat Hua Hin to hone her skills at the world-renowned Chi-va-Som.

Using a unique blend of Chinese and Thai massage techniques on the ‘second brain’, Azusa’s Chi Nei Tsang aims to release energy blockages that cause bloating, cramps and stress. In addition Segawa’s reflexology involves a vigorous massaging of reflex points on the foot that sends waves of release through the nervous system to corresponding bodily organs.
